Wii Pins

That’s right there are the Wii Pins!!!  I hope you guys like them, because I sure do.

Another pic I just got is of myself as Duct Tape Link and a cardboard Master Cheif (Pic Credit goes to Katy McDonald)  It reminded me of Wii60 so I had to post it

Ghost Squad

May 28, 2007

Well as promised i am writing my review/preview or what ever you wish to call it of Sega’s “Ghost squad.” From what I played at the arcade it was in a word AMAZING. The graphics weren’t anything special but my personal favorite part about the game was its unique gun controller design. It was for those who know anything about guns a g36 and unlike the pistol or shotgun design of most arcade guns had a more realistic feel to them with the switch on the gun for changing between fully and semi automatic firing modes. And in the back of the gun there was some sort of spring mechanism that added a fun little recoil to it. I personally hope Nintendo makes a controller similar to this for the Wii version of the game. But more about the actual game play, the basic plot, you are a squad leader taking out terrorist trying to save the president or some ambassador or something along those lines, like many shot em up games. But along the way you must free hostages or defuse bombs. Now there where only 3 levels you could play at the arcade but from what i played i was defiantly impressed by the game, but mostly by the controller itself.

Todays VC releases

May 28, 2007

Act Raiser- Square Enix- SNES

J.J and Jeff- Hudson- Turbografx 16

Kid Chameleon- Sega- Genesis

In other news, Danny and I will be putting together a review of Wario Ware Smooth  Moves this weekend and a retro review of an undecided VC game.  Also as I premised, pics of the DI pins and some other Nintendo related pics from the trip are coming soon, so look for those in the near future.  Also Danny and I played “Ghost Squad” at the arcade this weekend and as some of you know Sega is bringing the game to the Wii, so Danny is going to write up a preview based on what we played.

We are good to go!

May 25, 2007

Well a special thanks to Katy McDonald for letting us use her laptop on the trip, the hotel has free wifi so we can check news and post (obviously). A quick explanation we are at a DI competition. DI is a creative problem solving event and at the Global levels (where we are) Each state has special pins that every one trades and three states have Wii themed pins, (Wisconsin-console; Minnesota- Wii-mote; Iowa- VC controller) and we traded some MD crab pins for them, we’ll be sure to post pictures later.

^the above was written on weds.^

Here we are on Fri. We were going to see pirates but they were sold out. Anyway onto news…

As for Nintendo’s Press conference we won’t be seeing anything new until E3, mostly all that could be shown were some Mario Party 8, Mario Strikers Charged, and Pokemon videos which can be found on a site like IGN.

In other news, Go Nintendo found the E3 press schedule for this year, which makes me very happy and I’ll post why after I give the info.

Tuesday July 10:

8:30 PM- Microsoft

Wednesday July 11:

9:30 AM- Nintendo

11:30 AM- Sony

2:00 PM- EA

3:15 PM- Activision

4:30 PM- Midway

5:45 PM- Konami

Thursday July 12:

8:30 AM- Take Two

9:15 AM- THQ

10:30 AM- Ubisoft

1:30 PM- Namco

3:30 PM- Disney

This schedule makes me happy because I leave for camp on the 12th and I was worried I’d miss Nintendo’s conference and I’ll finally get to see it live via the Internet.

Hmm, about that media confrenence…

May 22, 2007

Well here’s what seems to be the deal with the conference.  According to IGN Nintendo seems to be holding all of the information under embargo for a while.  Chances are we won’t see most of the information until Friday or E3 in July (predicted by RawMeatCowboy of Go Nintendo)

Update- More and more sites seem to be saying that we’ll have to wait a few more days to hear what was revealed at the “press summit” hopefully I’ll be able to update while I’m away.

However there is an updated fact sheet for Metroid which basically confirms that there is no multiplayer in the game, other than that nothing we haven’t really seen already.

In other news both of our writers (Danny hasn’t made an account yet but he will) are going to be away for the remainder of the week, but if we can access a computer we’ll do our best to update.

Smash Bros. Site is Up!!!

May 22, 2007

That’s right, there’s not much new info right now, but the site promises Daily updates so go check it out!

Also Nintendo has a press conference today, so I’ll be sure to post the news as soon as I get it.
